Methiopropamine is nicknamed MPA and known more formally as N-methyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)propan-2-amine.
It is the newest chemical in a line of RC's being brought to you by a selection of RC websites who have spent alot of time, money and effort to bring to market some innovative and fresh fine chemicals to be used in scientific research.
At a first glance, one major highlight of this new chemical is it's apparent similarity in structure to another well known chemical called methamphetamine or whizz/speed etc.. however whilst is predecessor is a class b under the misuse of drugs act within the UK, MPA is not.
You will notice in the diagram below exactly how similar these two substances are to each other. In actual fact Methiopropamine is a 2-thienyl analogue of n-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine.
Never before available to the commercial fine chemicals market, methiopropamine can now be purchased online by the end of december 2010. In much the same way as 6-apb or benzo fury has been marketed, methiopropamine will only be available to the scinetific community by way of an authorized and specifically chosen distribution channel.
Q:Why???
A:The reasons for this are tenfold, but to name a few:
1. The industry is in major disripute currently because of all the scammers and dodgy fake websites that exist out there. These vendors will purposely advertise products cheaper because they either have no intention of sending anything out, or what they actually do send out is complete garbarge. We are still unsure as to which is worse .... to be honest id personally rather not receive anything than receive something that could potentially cause serious disruption to any studies i was conducting.
2. To maintain a very high standard of product and an online reputation of a unique set of vendors who's names and products you can not only trust to deliver but to also deliver a product that is exactly what it sais it is and that is 100% tested, analysed and most import of all 100% legal to use for research and handle within the UK & EU.
Methiopropamine is now a UK registered trademark which is registered to a specific group of websites. The Association of Independent Research Chemical Retailers or AIRCR as they are also known.
Any vendor that is caught listing this product for sale on their website without prior authorization from the AIRCR will face legal action in the form of Intellectual property rights infringement, details of which can be found here.
Some vendors may think that this is pretty harsh considering the RC market is genrally an open market. However it is getting increasingly more important not only to maintain a reputable image but also to not be associated with the many fraudsters that exist online today. Thus when creating an innovative product, spending alot of time and money developing the product it also means having to protect it from counterfeits and fake sellers (much like big corporations do, i.e.nike, microsoft etc...)
We expect Methiopropamine to be amongst the most popular of research chemicals similar to that of methoxetamine and benzo fury. We always advise customers of this type of product to watch out and make sure you select you vendor with a degree of caution. Just because this particular chemical is protected by Trademark doesnt mean that one or two fraudsters may still attempt to copy it and sell it online (of course eventuially they will face legal action but there will always be one or two who will try their luck).
When purchasing Methiopropamine, make sure that you always check to see if the website is a member of the AIRCR and is an authorized distributor of this fine chemical.
